Kate & David held their wedding ceremony & reception at The Barn at Alswick. This is a stunning wedding venue in Hertfordshire, set in a peaceful area of Buntingford. However, it was a wet September day and certain plans like getting married outside had to be changed, but the wedding team at The Barn were unfazed and chairs were set up inside the barn with the ceremony being held just in the entrance of the barn framing the couple in the wooden doorways with natural light shining through. The rain also meant we didn't get to photograph around the different gardens on offer at the venue. So, Dana & I made the most of where we could get to on the path using the immediate pretty gardens as a colourful backdrop to the groups and couples photographs.
Kate had booked a professional singer, Fil Straughn, who got the party starting way before the DJ arrived. Fils act is fantastic, during the reception and dinner he sings a variety of well-known songs, then suddenly stops at a guest and they have to join in. The atmosphere was amazing as he got all the guests charged up and dancing around their tables. Even grandma was singing and dancing! Kate & David were surrounded by friends and their large family and together they made a fantastic party all captured in our photographs below...
